My goal is for every pet I care for to feel like I am a loving member of their extended family. I have over 20 years of experience as a professional pet sitter and as a veterinary assistant/technician. My experience as a veterinary assistant/technician gives me unique skills in caring for geriatric and special medical care pets and I can give injections and oral medications. I am also comfortable with holistic therapies and caring for pets after surgery or who need special assistance. My pet family consists of "Riggs" my awesome adopted Jack Russell Terrier mix and 4 super special adopted cats - "Smudge", "Hibou", "Skittles" and "Batman". My very first pet was a terrier mix adopted at 6 months from our local shelter. She was my constant companion throughout my entire childhood. Over the years I have proudly shared my home with dogs, cats, rabbits, a chinchilla, several birds and a variety of fish and have had some truly magnificent horses. I have bred several litters of Collies and am currently training my own dog in Agility. I have also bred and shown purebred Persian cats, ridden my horse in Hunter and Dressage disciplines and have experience caring for most small mammals, some birds and saltwater and freshwater fish. The best time of my day is when I settle into bed with my whole furry crew.
