I grew up in West Marin, Mill Valley and San Francisco with dogs and cats. I've been a passionate animal lover since I was a kid. Being with them and caring for them is one of my greatest joys in life. Right now I have my own beloved rescue cat, Lucius (I got him at the Marin Humane Society). I've done dog and cat sitting in Marin County for seven years; day visits, dog walks and overnight/pet sitting for up to a month at a time. I've cared for up to three dogs in a household at once. These included very old dogs with special needs (i.e. helping them up stairs, administering medications, behavioral issues from breeder rescue trauma and missing their human guardians), a puppy and some very rambunctious and energetic doggies too. My time spent with them has resulted in calm, happy animals. I also volunteer at farm animal sanctuaries and advocate for animal rights organizations. Excellent references. I have a flexible schedule (pet visits/walks and overnights are becoming more full time), while also working on my writing projects and other creative pursuits. My prior work experience includes fitness trainer, event manager, associate producer at TEDxMarin, years in the film and performing arts biz, professional dancer, dance instructor, writer. I pay quality attention to them, talk to them regularly with an affectionate voice, play and cuddle with them daily (IF that is what they like of course). And I respect their need for space if they ever prefer or if they're timid at first, as they're each individuals with different personalities. If you are fine with them sleeping on the bed with me, I'm fine with that too! I walk the dogs regularly and send updates in pics/text, daily if preferred. I am very responsible, caring and sensitive to pet's moods and wants, conscientious of neighbors and privacy, and keep a secure, clean and safe home while you're away. I collect mail, water plants, take out garbage/recycling and any other home maintenance required.
