Pet care experience
I was the child who didn't give up the fight to get a dog in our family. It was the art of persuasion and a whole lot of stubbornness that helping bring about a dog that I cared for and loved for 12 years until she passed away. Since graduating from college I've kept connections with dogs as much as possible. I have dog (and cat) sat over the past 5 years for friends and coworkers. Because I currently do not have a dog myself, I pour all my attention into the animals I may be taking care of. I'm an active hiker and hold great attention to detail. I am moving to Phoenix at the end of April and am very flexible with scheduling. I look forward to discovering how I can help care for your beloved pet.

Lia is kind-hearted, responsible, and highly dependable. She is a devoted caretaker, capable of quickly establishing connections (with animals of all shapes and sizes) by tuning into each animal's particular personality, then showering them with love and attention. She is phenomenal at accommodating special requests or needs, and getting lots of outdoor play time in. Last but not least, Lia is so respectful of other people's spaces - not only does she leave your home/yard clean and tidy, but you can feel in the air that everything has been very well cared for while she was there.
I've worked alongside Lia for the past year and a half, and on numerous occasions, I've watched her care for dogs and other animals. I've seen her care for 148 chickens, 5 pigs, 2 cats, and 3 dogs. Not only is Lia incredibly detail-oriented and attune to instruction, but she genuinely enjoys keeping animals company and being their friends. Is she quirky and prone to talking to critters in unusual voices? You bet. But I can confidently say that any dog will be loved, safe, and happy with Lia.
As my daughter, I am happy to recommend Lia as a pet-sitter and walker. While still living in our home she was a very responsible caretaker of our family dog as well as helping out with our neighbors' pets. As an adult now she continues to lovingly care for animals. This combined with a love for the outdoors makes her a perfect person to walk your dog.
