Pet care experience
Hi there! I’ve grown up with and been around pets my entire life. My family has owned toy poodles and Golden Retrievers as well as a cat, Butterscotch, who sadly passed away last year. I‘ve also volunteered with an animal shelter, Animal Friends, for several years in their animal socialization program with dogs and cats, and done their formal training classes on dog socialization. I’m responsible, experienced, and will love your dog like my own 😊 I have always had a huge soft spot for pets - big dogs have a special place in my heart!! I am currently a full time grad school student at GW, and I do have in person classes once a week, other than that I am fully remote. I am usually very flexible and can accommodate most schedules and last minute requests. I'm happy to be as active as your dog needs, or to hang on the couch and cuddle! I am comfortable with all breeds, from bully breeds to Rottweilers to Belgian shepherds.

If I could give her 10 stars I would and would highly recommend her to anyone. She stayed at our home for several days while we were on vacation. She was completely trustworthy and was great with our two dogs, cat and even the pond fish. She was able to give oral medications to our dog and cat twice a day, take care of of our wild child dog and feed our pond fish. Also had to deal with an air conditioner that decided not to work for a day. I would definitely use her again!
Fantastic sitter. Dogs were happy and house in great shape, made sure the dogs kept to their schedule and everything in order, great communication. Would highly recommend Leyla!
As is usual, I am overjoyed to have found Leyla. I have used her multiple times, and each time she is phenomenally timely, responsible, clean and communicative. She follows my instructions explicitly and handles my working dogs extremely well.

A typical day
I am always willing to walk around the neighborhood or at a local park. If okayed by the owner, I can also go on runs with active dogs or take them to the dog park. Always up for an adventure!

Availability
I work from home full time remotely, but I do have in person classes once a week on Wednesday evenings, thus, I will require that your dog can be along for at least 4 hours, but I am home 75% of the time.
