Exceptional & Attentive Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

Hello! I have approximately 4 years of pet sitting experience and have been caring for horses for 9+ years. I'm knowledgeable about cats, dogs, livestock, and some exotic pets. The majority of my free time is spent caring for my own "zoo" at home that consists of 3 cats, 2 dogs, a snake, and a horse. Never a dull moment around here but they always put a smile on my face! I have great organization skills and I'm very self motivated. I've always loved animals, but I also enjoy being able to share my love with other peoples pets too. I've been training horses for an upwards of 5 years now so my patience is great. I'm very attentive to body language and respectful of all animals boundaries when it comes to things that may make them uncomfortable or nervous. I have experience will all sizes and lots of different breeds. I’m also experienced in handling aggressive dogs. I have personally spent the better part of the last 2 years fostering dogs who have come in as strays, successfully giving them the tools to be in the house and finding them their forever homes. It’s a passion of mine to provide the best care possible for all animals I encounter.

I got busy with work and booked super late on a holiday weekend. Lexie was able to accept my pet at the last minute, and even asked me how my dog handled fireworks since it was the new year. Very thoughtful pet sitter!! Got lots of pictures and updates, and would definitely use Lexie again in the future

Lexie is a responsible, interactive, amazing pet sitter! She took care of our 4 dogs with much care. Lexie stayed in our home and sent us messages daily. We felt very confident on our vacation that the dogs were lovingly looked after. Our home was very neat and tidy when we returned too! I will definitely want Lexie to care for our pups again—she is great!!

Once again, Lexie took wonderful care of our pets! We enjoy her detailed Rover Reports and the photos she sends. We are able to enjoy our time away knowing our animals are getting all the love and attention from a terrific pet sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

Though I don’t have a fenced in yard, there’s a decent sized lot next door where the dogs are able to play in a controlled environment (on leash and always supervised). Additionally, there is a local park that is fenced in that I frequent with my dogs. It’s perfect for those that need to burn off some steam. Lots of play time and love around here! It is important to note that we absolutely do not, under ANY circumstances, take any dogs that are not spayed/neutered, not crate trained, not potty trained, and not cat AND dog friendly. We have a smaller house and want to ensure every animal gets the most attention possible, but this isn’t doable if the pups don’t fit the criteria listed.

Information Lexie C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog/cat has any health or behavioral issues (ie resource guarding, crate barking..). I have experience giving im injections and have a diabetic dog of my own so able to take glucose levels and administer insulin. I foster frequently so am used to dogs with different personalities, I just ask that you be completely transparent!

A typical day

My main priority is making sure that the animals in my care are mentally and physically stimulated (in good ways of course!). Walks, personal play time, we can even teach some tricks if you want. I do own a fair share of lick mats and stuffable toys for mental enrichment as well. Down time is spent relaxing in their crate or on the couch, whichever is preferred! Dogs will be crated while unattended.
