I work as a vet assistant on the weekends, and I am in school to be a veterinary technician. I am home several times throughout the day to walk my dogs and care for my cat and rabbits. I have been working in the veterinary field for 7 months, but I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of different species and sizes. I have a 1 year old Australian shepherd and a 2 year old rescued shih-poo. I do not have a fenced in yard, so my dogs are walked on leash unless we're hiking through my woods. When we aren't outside, I have a large box of toys for dogs to choose from for indoor playtime. Both of my dogs are crate trained, but do have full access to my house while I'm gone. My cat spends her days in my room sleeping. I allow my dogs on the couches and my bed, so yours can sleep there too! I have training for giving medications, and I also have experience with diabetic pets and can give insulin.
