Dedicated to providing quality care

Pet care experience

After rescuing my first family dog at the age of sixteen, I truly learned what it meant to be responsible for another being. Diagnosed by the veterinarian with an anxiety disorder, my family and I took our pet to a dog trainer in an attempt to reconcile her anxious personality with her new life in a busy household. After working together for a number of years on her anxious behavioral tendencies, she is now able to take walks in busy public spaces without an issue. Having cultivated a strong and lasting connection with the dog trainer, I took a job during the summer after my second year of college as the receptionist for the grooming salon she had recently opened. During that summer, I spent many hours not only answering the phones, scheduling appointments, and facilitating payments, but also interacting with individual dogs during the day's busiest hours, soothing the anxiety that washed over them as they walked through the salon doors and were met with the knowledge that they would have to be bathed, brushed, trimmed, and in some cases, shaved. Upon my return to college, I was hired by a local resident to walk her four dogs (two of which were under one, the other two over ten) twice a day on weekdays. I also frequently spent Saturdays through Sundays alone at her house with her dogs while she traveled overnight. During my last year of college, I continued this tradition by dog sitting for an elderly corgi who had a large, benign tumor that severely impeded her movement. We would often go for extremely short walks down a single city block at a mediated pace, spending most of our time together lounging outside in the sun in her owner's fenced-in backyard. Now newly graduated from college, I desire to once again enter the world of dog care.

Our second time using Lexi and we love her. Our cats are much happier having the extra time and attention she gives them while we're traveling. Lexi goes above and beyond to make the experience easy for us ❤️

Lexi is a Godsend! I love my dogs and hate to travel without them- but when I have to leave them, I can always feel good about putting them in Lexi’s care. Lexi is warm, dependable, trustworthy and a true dog lover! One of my dogs can be a little tough to deal with, but it’s never a problem for Lexi. Her patience and kindness wins out every time!! Happy to recommend Lexi without reservation. Carrie K.

My dog Panda absolutely adores Lexi! Panda can be pretty shy when meeting a new person, so it was incredible how fast she became comfortable with Lexi. She is responsible and sweet which makes me feel at ease when she watches my dog.

Information Lexi K. would like to know about your pet

I would like to be informed as to whether or not your dog is either people or dog aggressive, both, or neither, so as to determine whether or not your dog can greet the passing dogs and/or humans we meet on our walks! I don't have any specific breed preferences, but small to medium sized dogs are preferable so that my petite stature (5 feet tall!) doesn't hinder the quality of our walks!

A typical day

I love walking the dogs in my care at the park nearest their pick up location! Running alongside your dog and throwing a ball back and forth between us are my ideal ways to spend time with your furry friend. Cuddles and pets in the grass are also provided!
