Pet care experience
I have well over 10 years of pet care experience with a range in all dog sizes as well as cats. I also work at a local dog daycare part time to gain experience in dog behavior and group play. I recently moved back to the Charles Town area after a entering law enforcement post-college. My goals through rover are to provide excellent pet care services while also getting to know fellow pet owners in the community! I am currently working full time, Monday through Friday. I am available for drop ins every morning and evening, as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays for longer visits or walks. I enjoy spending quality time with my own pets, and use that when providing services to clients pets. I always try to work on basic commands for dogs during each interaction (sit, stay, come) and also have important playtime when watching cats.
Reviews
We had to get out of state for a family funeral sorta short notice and our family sitter had to go so we checked Rover and found Lexi. Even though it was rushed she found time for a meet and greet and jumped in right away to set our minds at ease during this very stressful time. We hope to give her more notice next time!!
Lexi did a stay over and watched our Silky Terrier and Pit bull overnight. We all did a meet and greet before to ensure they all got along and I could not have been more happy with the outcome. Lexi is so good with the animals and they loved her. She sent photos and updates through the night to let us how things were going which put us at ease. I would highly recommend Lexi and will hire her again when needed.
Lexi took great care of our two babies while we were away. We appreciate her coming out to meet us and the dogs beforehand, her constant communication, the pictures she sent, and that the house was left nice and clean. We will be recommending her to all friends and family!

I value cleanliness and safety above all else when it comes to caring for my own pets as well as my clients. I always make sure that your pets have fresh water, food, and clean bowls to use. For cat drop ins and overnights, I make sure the litter boxes are cleaned daily.
Information Lexi D. would like to know about your pet
I appreciate knowing the health history of your dog and any current health issues ahead of time. If there are any games or activities your dog does not enjoy, that information is extremely helpful as well. I also prefer to have a general idea of your dogs temperament and if they are allowed to play with other dogs in your neighborhood.
A typical day
I love to get dogs physical as well as mental exercise. I emphasize walks as well as the basic commands (sit, stay, come, down). For dogs already familiar with these commands, I enjoy teaching them new tricks. Games of fetch and tug of war are a favorite of mine.

Availability
I work fulltime at a dog boarding, training, and aquatics facility which allows me to bring my dog with me throughout the week. It is also extremely flexible which allows me to accomodate many different client needs.
