I love all animals!

Pet care experience

My love for animals started at a very young age. I honestly can't remember any point in my life that I didn't have a furry family member to care for. I have personally cared for and owned rabbits, cats, dogs, birds, and rodents. When I was fifteen I was hired as a kennel assistant at Lake Area Animal Hospital where I learned to care for sick, recovering, and boarding pets. I learned to administer medications, keep comfortable and sanitary conditions for all animals in my care, as well as care for animals with aggression and anxiety. My next job was a kennel assistant at Bark Park ( a doggie daycare/boarding facility). In addition to assisting the groomer with baths and making sure that the animals in my care were happy, safe, and tired when they went home, I learned how cared for dogs with special needs and how to recognize signs of aggression/fear/anxiety in my furry friends. I currently have two dogs and their happiness and health are very important to me. They are well socialized and enjoy the companionship of other cats and dogs! I am currently an Animal Welfare Supervisor, Doggie Daycare Lead, and Dog Trainer at Club Pet Resorts. I am pet first aid and CPR certified. I also have a Pet Food Nutrition certification and I offer consultations as well as meal plans for cats and dogs.

Fantastic! My dog was a sort of jerk at the beginning, but Lexi took it all in stride. By the time I came to pick him up I think Bentley was less excited to see me than he was sad to leave her. I would absolutely, positively, 100% recommend that -ANYONE- in Fort Collins consider using Lexi for all of their dog sitting needs. I certainly know that I would trust her in the future with any pet of mine!

I would be glad to!! Lexi has been a lifesaver for our family. We have a total of 4 dogs, of which 3 are pit bulls and the other is a lab mix. You see in this home, our dogs are like our children and they are treated as such. We don't trust just anybody to watch them and don't board them because of the anxiety that would be caused to them by having to be in a strange place and locked up in a kennel for long periods of time, in the heat outside. When Lexi takes care of our babies they are kept inside their home where is it cool , they are able to sleep in their usual spots in the house, play with their toys, go out for exercise in their back yard, etc. Lexi is an avid dog lover and has been our go to for many years.

Information Lexi C. would like to know about your pet

Do they walk on a leash properly? Have they ever showed any aggression towards other animals/people? Are they food aggressive? Do they have anxiety? Do they know basic commands? Are they crate/housetrained? Have they ever been abused? Please explain your answers.

A typical day

I take my dog on one thirty minute walk daily as well as let him out to potty at least two more times. On the weekends my boyfriend and I enjoy hiking, so if your pet is staying with us he/she will also be able to enjoy the great outdoors as well. If for some reason we can't spend all day outside (weather, heat, etc.) my two Pups will have no problem exercising your dog through play.
