I love to walk outdoors on beaches and trails whenever I'm not teaching. I'd love to bring your best friend on outings with me. Weather doesn't bother me, so let me do the walking when it's too cold or rainy. Happy to walk around your neighborhood, or drive your dog(s) to one of the beaches. Higgins Beach at low tide has enough space for a couple miles of safe terrain away from traffic and slippery pavement, and it's one of my favorite walking spots. I teach middle school, so I can stop in for super early morning visits before 7, or weekday afternoons as early as 3. I can administer meds, or take your pup for a jolly jaunt. I'm always psyched to and ready to head outside in any weather. Also available weekends. I grew up in a family with 7 cats and two dogs, and in my adult life, I spent 15 years taking care of 3 older cats. I learned to give regular meds such as pills, creams, and subcutaneous fluids. I know what it's like to have old pets with a variety of time sensitive medical needs, and I especially know what it feels like to have to go on a trip where you can't take them and you just really want to know they're going to be okay. At this point in my life I travel a lot during school vacations, and have no pets of my own. I find so much joy in visiting, walking, snuggling, playing with, and caring for pets. Available for house sitting as well, within a reasonable commuting distance from my Portland teaching job.
