Our experience with Lex was unfortunately not good. I've given several very positive reviews on Rover to other sitters - but not here. We hired lex for house sitting and she told us she would be in the house and do her other job remotely while watching our 2 pugs. Lex was supposed to arrive at our house during our afternoon flight at 4 pm. When we landed at 6 pm pst, I sent her a text to confirm she got into the house ok. She was still at her home. Her reason was "she lost track of time." When I said I was concerned, instead of assuring me they would be well taken care of going forward, she basically told me I could get someone else to care for them if I'm worried. I'm like 2600 miles away so obviously I can't do that! This set a tone of distrust for the rest of her job. I worried I had to be nice and not express too much concern or she would abandon them... Since we were nervous she wasn't reliable, I asked for pics. She sent one pic when she finally arrived at the house but no other pics that first night despite my request. We suspected she fed them, let them out, then went back to her house. So, I was forced to be very specific and I requested a pic at morning, walk time and night. We know our dogs were alone from about 8 am to 4:30 pm everyday from the timing of the pics she did send and from neighbors who can see what cars were there. We received 0 pics after sunset. Not one - even though I asked for bedtime pics. So we suspect, but cannot prove, she went back to her own house each night and left the dogs alone. We asked lex to stay til 10 pm on our return date (we were paying til 11:30). We arrived back at midnight. There were two piles of feces - one unusually big as if the dog had been holding it. Our dogs are trained and would not do that if properly walked and only alone 2 hours. We found other poop stains on the rug. The part of the house they stayed in wreaked like a kennel like they had been couped up there. There were no food wrappers, cans, bottles, trash, utensils in the dishwasher or any indication whatsoever that lex made even one meal at the house. Every indication is she did not actually house sit. I gave two stars because the dogs were fed and healthy when we got home. There were also poop bags in the outside garbage so they got at least a few walks. She also brought in two packages for us from the porch, which we appreciated. I think she'd be fine to hire for a dog walk or a stay at her house. However, I would not hire her for house sitting.

Lex was amazing! Took great care of our 2 pups and house. Will definitely rebook and recommend to anyone!
