Hi! I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats (young, old, big, small, shy, hyper, you name it!). I absolutely love animals, and I treat every pup (or cat) like one of my own. I split my time between Bozeman, MT and Golden, CO and provide boarding in Bozeman and housesitting in Golden. For those looking for help in Bozeman, I live close to downtown Bozeman in a house with about a 1/4 acre yard for pups to romp around. I never leave the dogs in the yard alone, and prefer to take them for walks or hikes for exercise! I work from home, so your furry friend will always have access to cuddles, scratches behind the ear, and playtime in the yard! Being WFH also enables me to easily keep to your pet's day-to-day schedule, so when you're away, you can rest assured that your pet will return to you happy, relaxed, and healthy. I love hiking/running outside (and xc skiing in the winter), and I would be happy to bring your pup along! No matter what, your pup will get plenty of exercise (on-leash or off-leash, depending on your dog's needs). Additionally, I have 3 years of experience watching dogs with reactivity towards other dogs. In those cases, I will only board or housesit your dog and make sure to work with you to understand their triggers and if you keep to a specific training regimen. You can trust me to ensure that your dog will continue their progress while you are away. A meet and greet is mandatory for dogs with reactivity towards other dogs, so I can assess the level of reactivity to ensure that I can provide the safest experience possible for your pup.

We can’t thank Lex enough for watching Kona! We were traveling with a group from California to Bozeman for a wedding and 4 of us had dogs and needed a sitter for the evening. I reached out to Lex via Rover and she responded right away. We did a quick FaceTime call so we could meet and I booked with her, as did our friends (including the bride and groom). Everything went very smoothly, Kona seemed happy and we felt very good leaving her there. It was great she took all 4 dogs for the evening, they all know each other. If we are ever back in the area and need a sitter we will definitely call on Lex!
Lex was very welcoming of our little dog Rubi. She sent us pictures and gave us updates during the two days she watched her for us. We're grateful we found her and definitely recommend.
Coming in from out of town, and not knowing anyone to watch our dog (Oscar) was incredibly stressful deciding who and where to leave him while we went to Yellowstone. After reaching out to many other Rovers and boarding facilities, we are so thankful that we chose Lex as our Rover! She was quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns prior to booking, and sent daily messages and photos on how Oscar was doing and all the fun they were having together during his stay. Lex was the only Rover that was willing to give Oscar the daily exercise that he needs (he is a crazy boy if not exercised enough). Oscar was very happy and tired when we picked him up. We wish Lex lived in Seattle so we could use her regularly. Thank you Lex!!
Lex was the best dogsitter. She sent us photos an updates each day and made sure our dog was well cared for. She was very responsive. We have a small dog who loves to sleep and Lex made sure she had a ton of comfy spaces to feel at home.

Booking in Bozeman: My yard is approximately 0.25 acres and fully fenced. The yard is separate from the house, but I use a leash to go from the door to the yard to be extra careful. I'll look to you for rules in the house to maintain consistency for your pet (aka, if they can't go on the couch at home, they can't do it in my house either). Booking in Golden: If I'm house sitting, I'll be sure to treat your space with the utmost respect! I work remotely so your pet will have care around the clock and I'll be happy to help around the house to keep things in order and clean for when you get back.

I would like to know if your dog has any anxieties or triggers so it's not a surprise during our time together. It is also important to know if your pup is house trained or likes to chew on specific items (so I can puppy proof before hand)
A typical day
We will definitely stay active with designated play time and walks during the day! I also like bringing dogs to off-leash areas if they are comfortable in those situations. I love working with dogs on their behavior + tricks, so let me know if there are specific tricks or manners that you would like me to focus on! It's important to keep a dog on track even while the owner is away.

I'm WFH and have an extremely flexible schedule. I'll ensure that your pet's care schedule seamlessly fits into my day-to-day. If your pet is comfortable in public areas, I'm happy to bring them with me if I step out for dinner or to run to the store. Booking in Bozeman: They'll have easy access to a yard and will not be left alone in the house for longer than two hours.
