My 8 years experience working in veterinary hospitals, 5 years in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory, and a lifetime with personal and family pets makes me uniquely qualified for home pet care. After retiring from clinic work, I am very happy working in a laboratory environment. However, I have found that I do miss working with the animals. The hair, the tails, the ears... My personal pet, a 15 year old border collie, passed away 2 years ago. I also have a geriatric cat, and we love him... But it's not the same as a dog. No walks, for instance, lol. We recently adopted a second cat from a local rescue, and he's just as great as our other cat. We recently purchased our first home, and the yard needed A LOT of work. It's level now, and when the grass is stable in the spring, we'll have an enormous back yard for a dog!
