Dogs Over 1 Year Old
No Females in Heat
Leslie cared for our 100 lb. lab while we went on vacation. When we returned home, our dog was quite happy. She was in good spirits and fit, so we know the dog sitter took her on several walks a day as we asked. Our dog lives for her walks! She even brushed our dog, because her fur coat was shiny and clean looking. If you need a pet sitter / dog walker, I would recommend ...
Leslie is an amazing mom to her girl, Junie Bee! She has always been attentive and attuned to the needs of her pets. Happiness is key to life for Leslie and she works to create that environment for her 4-legged companions. I would not hesitate to hire Leslie to take care of my dogs, as I know they would be taken care of as though they were her own!
Leslie is a great pet sitter and treats them as her own. She communicates very well and keeps you informed as much as you need. She's very trustworthy!
Dogs are the kids of this house.
Leslie is always the go-to person among friends and co-workers when someone needs care for their little (and big!) fur babies. She has been a dog lover her whole life, and as an adult she has had numerous dogs in her care over the years. She has been a teacher in the Austin area for over 11 years, caring for others' children and teaching them to be good thinkers and successful problem-solvers in this world ...
What Leslie would like to know about your dog
Leslie has a special talent for finding several lovable qualities about every dog! She will meet you and your dog and get to know you both a bit before sitting or walking. She will assess things like energy level, toy preferences, motivating factors, and play style, as well as what might make him or her nervous or less confident without you around. Her approach is to get to know dogs just like she acquaints herself with the kids in her classroom every year. She finds out what's special about them and draws on that to build rapport and trust so they will know her directives are meant to help them. She is delighted by all dogs, and she has special knowledge and insight in caring for brachycephalic breeds like Frenchies, Bostons, Pugs, English Bulldogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Shih Tzus, and Boxers. She has been a Frenchie mom and a Boston mom so she has done much research on the common medical conditions of these dogs and the special precautions to take when caring for them. She has a special place in her heart for labrador retrievers, as they were always in her family home when she was a child. Every goldendoodle, labradoodle, and cockapoo she's ever met have stolen her heart. She has also enjoyed caring for many mixed breeds as well as Rottweilers, Dobermans, Chihuahuas, Bichon Frises, and English Setters. Each dog has a special spirit and she enjoys getting to know them and finding out what makes them tick. It's not unlike what she does with the kids in her classroom. Once she bonds with them, it's smooth sailing, and they always enjoy each others' company. Doggie parents should know that she answers texts and calls all day, and sends updates as frequently as you would like, and with as much or little detail as you prefer. She knows what it's like to be away from your fur babies, and her goal is to make the process easy and comfortable for everyone involved.
