My babies LOOOVE going to their Aunt Les's house to visit!!! She spoils them to pieces and I know they are always safe and very well cared for, even if they have a medical need to address. Highly recommend contacting Leslie Hays Richards for your pet's sitting needs!
Leslie and I met as mutual dog rescuers. We met in 2010. I've visited her on occasion and her home is tidy and her dogs are well socialized and well cared for. You could not ask for a more compassionate and loving person to care for a dog. She's fostered a few dogs for me through my rescue, including a Chihuahua who had a hernia almost as big as she was. We had surgery done ...
Leslie is a bonified special needs small dog whisperer who would not hesitate to go without for herself to make sure the wonderful furbutts in her care get the one on one attention, love and veterinary care they need to thrive, feel safe and know the loving touch of a human. Leslie’s capacity to love and protect the innocents is immeasurable and if hearts were measured by the number of souls we touch throughout ...
Senior/special needs experience!
Your baby will experience all the indoor comforts needed and desired. I am home 90% of the time and am very attentive to the needs of my charges. If I do need to leave they will be secured in a crate, an indoor exercise pen, or an enclosed room, perhaps with a buddy to keep them company if desired. I have worked in rescue for many years with Special Needs, senior, and hospice dogs. I ...
What Leslie would like to know about your dog
No breed preferences or denials based on breed but size is important - nothing over 20lbs. Your baby must be up-to-date on vaccines, flea and tick free, spayed/neutered, and housebroken. If your male is a marker they must be accustomed to a belly band. If they are special needs exceptions will be made - squatting accidents are no big deal. No pups who chew on furniture, please. I would want your baby(s) and mine to meet before hand to make sure there are no personality clashes. My babies typically get along with everyone but it is best for all concerned that we be as sure as possible. I will need your baby(s) vet information and that their vet be made aware that your baby(s) will be in my care should I need to contact them. I will need to know any preferences your baby has as well as any issues like food aggression, escape artist, etc.
