Experienced Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

Updated August 7, 2023: Looking for repeat pups only! 📢 ⚠️ FIRST TIME ON OUR PROFILE PAGE? ➜ BOARDING & DAYCARE: We take pride in only taking pups that we know love ALL other pups, we enjoy being around, AND most importantly, pups that enjoy being around us. At the end of your initial daycare, we provide a detailed report card and exclusive tools and tips to help you thrive as a doggie parent. We will meet in our secure gated backyard where we’ll assess your pups commands, let them get comfortable with the backyard while you’re around, and let them know that we’re safe while you’re there to help maintain their calm while experiencing a new space and new people. When your pup spends a little time getting settled, I then let our pup, Cannoli out through our sliding doors and typically they sniff 🐽 and run down to play! Pups that are boarding at the time or also in daycare will come out after Noli (our test pup) comes to greet your pup (this might be up to 6 pups at a time during peak vacation times and your pup should be comfortable around this many pups). This is when we watch for playful behaviors and ensure that your pup is happy playing with Cannoli and other pups while again having you there for comfort if needed! After 15/20 minutes we will say bye and I will continue in the yard without your presence for another 5-10 minutes to see how your pup does without you checking for behavior, commands, and listening skills. After this we go in the house and clean paws; we stay in the first floor living room while I am on the floor for about 15-20 minutes to ensure your pup views me on their level (pups find this less threatening and it helps them get comfortable easier). If all goes well the pups will then have access to the first floor living room, kitchen, and breakfast nook. (All of the non-wood areas for the first daycare). We will then continue to hangout in the first floor for the first daycare and hopefully have a fun filled day with lots of toys and doggie friendly music! Details about what we’ll do are below in the INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PUPS STAY section of our profile. For pups that are boarding for the first time, WE REQUIRE A MEET-AND-GREET & DAYCARE combo prior to boarding, which happen on the same day. We used to only require meet-n-greets but we found adding the daycare to be more beneficial in helping us understand how your pups are without you around. This helps us ensure that your pup is comfortable in our household, with us, with Cannoli, and ALL other pups we take care of. If you’re ready to book, please request the daycare via Rover and specify that you’re looking for boarding in the future with your specific dates. ✱ Note: we’re looking to build long-term relationships with our paw paws and pups. As a result, we do not take last-minute daycare requests unless you are a repeat client. Also, please know there is no obligation to book with us after you complete the initial required meet-and-greet + daycare combo for pups who are staying overnight. No hard feelings here 🙂 just pure honesty and positive feedback for your pup's best life! You know your pup best so if there is a slight chance they won’t like a certain type of pup, this isn’t the best place for them, and that’s ok! ➜ HOUSE SITTING/DROP-IN VISITS: We require a meet-and-greet at your home before scheduling any services to ensure your pup(s) are comfortable with us and have time to get accustomed to us before seeing us without you in their home for the first time. We can only accept non-smoking homes as we are very sensitive to smoke. Please let us know if there are any other pets in the home that we should be aware of. Thank you! Note: The same price applies to one pup as it does to more in the same household. ✱ Available For Doggie Daycare & Overnights | Ask About Our 20%-50% Off Pricing Offer✱ ---------------------- 【ABOUT US】 We know it's hard to leave your pet with a stranger but rest assured we will treat your loved pup as if they were our own. We will send you pictures and videos throughout their stay with updates on how your pup is doing. Families love leaving their pups in our care whether it's for regular daycare, walks, drop-ins, or boarding because we keep their pups happy and safe. Our goal is to make your pup feel just as comfortable as they are when they are with you. We do everything we can to cater to all of your pups needs because it assures that we all have a great time. We have taken care of many pups for families on Rover, Wag, and through word of mouth, and have excellent references. We love bonding with the pups we take care of and they truly become part of our family (we especially love building bonds from the time they're puppies). We believe you, a loving pet parent, shouldn't have to worry, and we will make sure you don’t. We are good at reading pups' behaviors and body language and at determining what the pup needs to be happy. We hope that we are able to help make your lives easier while loving, caring, and hosting your special furry family member in our home. 【WHAT WE ASK OF YOU, PUP PARENT】 ➜ Complete transparency about your pup's behavior/observations now and in the past. This can help us prevent behaviors before they happen. *Note: We only take pups that LOVE playing with ALL other pups, are well-trained, listen, and are well-behaved. Unless your pup is under 6 months, at a minimum all pups must know the following commands: - Come - Sit - Eh Eh / No / Leave it ➜ Your pup must be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations, on flea and tick preventative, in good health, able to climb a decent amount of stairs (unless learning baby puppy), and be disease-free. ➜ All 1-year-old pups (13 months and over) must be house-trained unless they come with pee-pee pads. ➜ Please let us know if your pup has had any health problems, or traumas/ previous issues with a pup or human, is a picky walker or eater, etc. as this requires special attention and needs. ➜ If you are puppy training, please let us know so that we can continue to offer training. ➜ If boarding, please bring anything your pup is familiar with to make their stay more enjoyable like their favorite toy, bed, or a piece of clothing that smells like you. Please make sure your pups’ belongings are clean if you are dog boarding. *Note: We have a pup ourselves that loves playing with other dogs so we only take pups that love ALL pups. One of our biggest joys in life is seeing them all play together or lounge and cuddle. 【THINGS WE PROVIDE】 ★ A daily summary of your pup's day along with photos and videos throughout the day. We typically send updates at least three times throughout the day - morning, afternoon, and evening on or off Rover since some pawpaws like to be texted directly. ★ Frequent access to the backyard for potty breaks (0-2 hours depending on their need) or if it’s late Spring/Summer we leave the backyard door open, especially if the pups here LOVE being outside. ★ Filtered water. ★ Bathing upon request or if they have too much fun in the yard. ★ Cozy blankets and towels for comfort. ★ Food like rice, squash, beef/chicken, and clean water bowls upon request. ★ Clean belongings when you pick up your pup so you don’t have to worry about washing them at home. ★ Continued training for learning puppies. ★ Hairbrushes for fur maintenance and relaxation. ★ Poop bags for potty breaks around the neighborhood. ★ Toys like tugging ropes, doggie bones, puzzles, and balls to keep them entertained. ★ Treats like doggie ice cream, biscuits, bacon bites, and peanut butter-covered doggie desserts if your pup is allowed to have them. ★ Positive reinforcement training techniques ★ Administering medication upon request. ★ Playpens upon request for pups that need their alone time, older blind pups that might bump into walls, or non-potty trained pups while we are out for quick errands like groceries. 【100% GUARANTEE】 ✔ We will update you with pictures/videos of your pup throughout the day, having a great time in the yard or taking a siesta, whatever their vacation vibe is! Our goal is for your pup to get a vacation while you are away! ✔ We are clean, reliable, and most importantly, we take care of each pup as if they were our own. ✱ In case of an emergency, please don't doubt to reach out. We are here to help in any way we can during your travels/plans. We understand life happens!

Sure, I can help you write a pet sitter review. Here's an example: I recently hired Leslie to take care of my dog while I was out of town with my sister and nieces. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Leslie was punctual, professional, and took great care of my dog even though my dog had some incidents where he marked her a few spots inside the house. I appreciate her transparency about that. It was new to me to know that because my dog is very well trained. I received daily updates and pictures of my dog, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Leslie to anyone in need of a reliable and caring pet sitter. She’s phenomenal.

Hazel had a great day with Leslie, we got photos, video and text updates throughout the day. Leslie also provided a little goodie bag at the end of the day, as well as a report card on how the day went. Two thumbs up!

【ABOUT OUR HOME】 Our goal is that our home will become their home away from home. ➜ We have a pup, her name is Cannoli and she is 1 years old. ➜ We live in a 2500 sq.ft. single-family home on a quiet road. ➜ We have a large fenced-in yard and a doggy door so pups can relieve themselves whenever they want without having to wait or hold it in; the doggy door is only available during the day under our supervision. ➜ We have central air conditioning and heating in our home so your pup will always be comfortable. ➜ We have no children. ➜ We are non-smoking. ➜ If your pup is not potty trained or under 12 months, we will usually put up a divider for the wood floor parts of the house (just the dining room and library towards the front of the house). 【INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PUP'S STAY】 ➜ We both work from home (even pre-pandemic) so we are with your pup 100% of the time. If you're leaving your pup with us for a week+, we may need to leave the house at times to run errands so your pup would need to be trusted at our home for 1-2 hours, be ok with car rides if you allow them to go on hikes/long walks/the park/our 25’ family boat, or for pups that are still being trained, we can provide a playpen while we're out. ➜ If you don't allow pups on furniture we respect those rules. If you are ok with pups on furniture that's ok with us too! ➜ Safety for your pet is our major focus while they are staying with us. They will never be unwatched or alone (one of us will most likely always be home). We are always watching them in our 6' high fenced-in yard and have motion-sensor lights outside, and cameras leading to our yard. When your pup is in our care we walk them and play in our fenced-in yard with outdoor ropes, balls, frisbees, sticks, etc. Depending on the weather we will go to Borderland State Park for hikes or nearby parks. Inside, we have plenty of toys that our pup clients love including puzzles, bones, and kong treat holders for enrichment and entertainment. We also love putting in pup tv made for puppies for our pup clients. They love watching other puppies on tv, it's a hoot! (Love Pup Academy on Netflix) *** If you think we would be a good fit for what you are looking for in a pet sitter AND that your pup will do great with us, feel free to reach out. We usually respond quickly and work within your budget. Thank you for considering us, Leslie & Michael
