I have more than thirty years' experience owning and handling dogs of all shapes and sizes! I also have extensive experience with sled dog kennels, equines and some experience with exotics. About Me: I am lucky to have a wealth of experience with dogs, having owned pet dogs (and horses) since I can remember. My work as a vet tech through my teens exposed me to a wide variety of breeds and personalities; after University, I began participating in dog foster and rescue and was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of a local rescue organization. I am now a recovering musher, and as a result, have at times taken on house/kennel sitting gigs with more than 30 Alaskan Huskies! I have also managed to sneak in a rather sizable amount of experience with livestock guardian dogs and dogs exhibiting natural protection behaviors. If you have a dog with special medical care needs, I'm American Red Cross Certified in First Aid for Cats and Dogs. I have many years of work experience in the medical field, with a strong stomach and a keen eye for detail. I am comfortable with large and giant breed dogs, shy dogs, "problem dogs", multiple dog households and the complex social dynamics therein, and dogs with special medical needs.
