I have experience as a dog daycare dog handler. I’ve learned how to properly supervise dogs to ensure that they are safe and having fun. Some dogs have lots of energy and need lots of play, some like to just lay inside and cuddle —I can do both! I have experience following strict dietary guidelines and restrictions and giving appropriate medications. My experience with cleaning up after dogs is a good one. I know how to properly clean up, disinfect and dispose of dog waste. I know how to wash and sanitize a dog patio with a power washer. I am capable of sufficiently vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing down warehouse sized floors and walls. Doggie First aide! I’ve learned how to properly address a wound, whether it’s on myself (a person) or a dog. I have access to several animal emergency numbers for Des Moines area. I also have experience with caretaking an 11 year old diabetic dog—checking blood sugar, giving insulin. While you’re away, I’ll make sure your pet is comfortable and properly tended to. I have been to a dog aggression seminar that taught me how to defensively keep myself and your dog safe, if the situation arises.
