Exceptional care for your fur-kids!

Pet care experience

Why deal with all of the hassles for boarding your fur-kids while traveling when you can have me come to your home up to four times a day to provide quality experienced care for your pets! Let's face it, boarding isn't a bad option for pets but keeping them at home in their own environment is best and less stress for them! No barking dogs all night, no waiting to be fed and let outside to relieve themselves just quality loving care in the safety of your home! My name is Leslie, I have over 20 years experience with animals first hand. I worked as a Vet Tech and pet groomer for over 16 years and know e aptly what they need! I have managed a grooming and boarding facility with the Kentucky Humane society for 3 years providing wonderful services for our customers, but for a pet owner this can be exhausting trying to set this up! I have experienced firsthand what's it's like to work in a facility caring for your pets for extended periods of time and trust me most pets get sad depressed and sometimes aggressive! They aren't used to all of the sounds and smells of the other pets, they aren't used to being cooped up in a small run not seeing daylight or the lack of being able to go outside for normal potty breaks and just being able to enjoy the fresh air in the sunlight for a little sun bathing! I'm not trying to down grade boarding facilities but I know what it's like for them especially if they are old or have special needs.. This can be a traumatic experience and a costly one! I only charge one flat fee per day with 3 visits, that's right! 3 visits per day to make sure your pets get exactly what they need! I am very reliable and have a 4 wheel drive car to make sure no matter what the weather is like I can be there for them and put their needs first!

Leslie was absolutely phenomenal and I would use her again in a heartbeat! I reached out to Leslie prior to departing on an 8 night trip out of the country. I noticed that she had previous work experience as a vet tech, and trusted her to take care of my recently ill cat, Sgt. Pepper. I was very hesitant to leave my cat, who (not even 5 days before my departure date) landed himself in the animal hospital with a serious bladder infection. Other than family or friends, I had never trusted anyone to care for my cat- I had even looked into boarding him at a local vet because I thought he may be better cared for. With Leslie's help, I had a stress-free and relaxed vacation. I could not be more thrilled by the love, care, and thorough attention that my cat received from Leslie. I received 3 lengthy, detailed emails with picture updates per day, updating me on his eating/litter box habits. I came home to the happiest cat who was extremely well taken care of. His bladder infection is completely gone, thanks to Leslie being on top of his twice a day medication dosages. I even had family come in to check on him while I was away, and they commented on how well he was looked after. Not only is Leslie a wonderful pet sitter, but she is trustworthy and kindhearted. I will recommend her to everyone!

Leslie was excellent! She gave good feedback after each of her visits. I would like to say she did do something I didn't like so she would always be available for me when I need her!!!

Let me start with the good part of the care. My dog and cat were well cared for in my home. Leslie said she came three times to walk the dog and to feed her and keep her company. The bad new is that I didn't hear from her until after 8pm. She was scheduled for the first visit that weekend at 2 or 3pm. We were so panicked, as this was our first time with her, I contacted my elderly neighbor to go and check. Leslie said her phone died but we don't understand why it took six hours to contact us. We didn't understand why she didn't go online to rover.com to leave a message. This incident was exacerbated by the fact that she didn't call the time she said she would to get my address for the initial meet and greet. That was a work issue and so we didn't think anything of it until combined with the lack of contact on her scheduled visit. The second day of her visits were fine. She came when she said she would, did what she said and sent pictures. She did offer to forego payment which we didn't feel was right given the good job she did in providing care. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Leslie was very sweet and my dog instantly liked her, but I'm not sure if we would book her for another weekend visit.

A typical day

I am an early bird my typical day would start around 5:30/6:00 am, your pets will be allowed to go outside in the morning and I typically like to feed them around this time allowing them enough time to eat and digest, then they will have another potty break around 20/30 mins after they eat. I will return again around 1:30/2:00 to let them out for a luch break and give them a good deal of outside time walking them or playing in the yard playing fetch or sit with them while they sun bathe. I will return again around 7:30/8:00 to give them another break outside and visit with them while giving them a rub down and some company for the night! I typically stay around 30 mins each time I visit just to make sure they are happy and feeling loved! I never rush and take my time while visiting! If they need extra time or attention I can make that happen!
