I'm Lesley and I LOVE caring for animals: whether it be walks or pet sitting, both dogs and cats, while their owners are away for hours or weeks at a time. I am a recent graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt and have begun working part-time. I genuinely love animals and have had pet owners return to me multiple times. I am looking for pet-care gigs that can work with my part-time schedule starting mid-June (I will be out of town until June 10th).

Got stuck in Germany because of a snow storm and Lesley was great to stay another day. A great relief. my senior kitty who needs meds was well cared for and house as well.
Lesley was fantastic with our 1 year old dog. She’s reliable, communicates well and really gets our dog. We’d highly recommend her!!

We love Lesley! We were in a pinch and needed a dog sitter for a couple of days and Lesley was kind enough to take the job! She was extremely professional, kind and responsive. She sent daily updates when watching Pud and had a great practice to earn his trust. We cannot wait to book her again !!

I always ask owners about any "quirks" their pet may have, including triggers or any notable behavior that may arise during out time together. I also ask about any previous injuries or recent issues (for example, I've experienced my own dog being OBSESSED with bees).
A typical day
I love finding areas near the pets home, as I've often found that pets like to keep their usual routines & routes even if their pet-parents aren't home. Once we establish trust, and with owner's permission, I'm happy to take more scenic walks that may require a car ride or taking a detour from the daily path.

Availability
I currently work part-time, with my availability for walks & check-ins being mostly afternoons/evenings on weekdays. Weekends I'm free for house-sittings, walks, check-ins, etc. I'm also happy to accommodate house sitting that are during the week, I just need to know in advance (my dad and I share a dog so she spends time with him when I'm not home).
