Reliable & Safety Oriented + Fun🎾

Pet care experience

I began pet sitting to earn extra money when I was in graduate school and have continued to sit for friends’ pets over the years. After almost two decades in law enforcement, my love of dogs and cats inspired me to become a veterinary assistant. I have experience with obedience training and animal behavior. I have worked with senior pets and am able to administer prescribed medications while you’re away. Depending on your pet’s level of tolerance, baths and nail trims may be done for a small fee. *Free bath for day care and boarding.* My qualifications include: -Veterinary Nursing Student -Veterinary Assistant -Rescue Volunteer/Foster -Therapy Dog Handler

Lesa is amazing!! I felt more than comfortable leaving Jack with her over a long holiday weekend. She is very knowledgeable, attentive, and knew just how to take care of him. She sent frequent pictures and even some videos! Highly recommend! She is now my go-to dog sitter!

There are only 2 people in the world I would trust to care for my furbabies. Lesa is a dog mom and treats any animal she meets as is they are her own. I know when she is caring for my dogs that I don’t have to worry. I highly recommend Lesa to care for your animals.

Lesa is a true dog and people advocate. She is extremely knowledgeable about caring for all types of dogs. Her dogs over the years are a true testament of the nurturing care she gives to them and she is the one person I would trust with my fur baby without hesitation.

I will treat your pets with as much care as I do my own, keeping their routine in mind so they feel secure. I never leave pets unattended in the yard. While I believe the dogs (and I) enjoy walks the most, I always check the pavement temperature in the hotter months and increase indoor or shaded playtime to keep them safe. I stay aware of my surroundings and any potential hazards on walks and during playtime, such as wildlife, crazy drivers, and even sand spurs! I’m happy to bring your packages and mail inside, check porch light, and place your trash/recycle curbside as an included service. Recent background check completed for school enrollment.

Information Lesa P. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet needs feeding during our visit, how much food and when. If your pet takes any medications, it is important for me to know the dosing instructions so that I can time my visits and administration appropriately. If your pet is reactive to anything or experiences anxiety, knowing what those triggers are will be helpful. I like to know what commands your dog responds to (such as recall commands and leave it, drop it, etc.) or any inclinations (such as counter surfing) for safety reasons. Does your pet have allergies or food intolerances? Are treats ok for rewards or as distractions from other dogs on walks? If your pet is aggressive toward people or other animals, please inform me of this so we can come up with the best plan for your pet. Please let me know anything you think will help me to create a positive and comfortable experience. *For boarding and daycare, a copy or scan of your pet’s current vaccination record is helpful.

A typical day

I love playing fetch with regular or squeaky tennis balls. The Nerf ball shooter comes in handy if your dog runs further than I can throw! Tug toys are fun when appropriate. For the cats I use a laser pointer or feather toys. Some pets prefer to be petted and cuddled and that’s ok too.
