Pet care experience
I worked for a dog walking company for six months, and I recently left so I could focus on school. Yet, once I left my job, I found myself missing the dogs so much, and this is what inspired me to apply to Rover. I love walking and caring for dogs. I also have my own dog, who is a spirited little guy, and in my journey of having a pet dog myself, I have met with multiple dog trainers to learn about dogs and their behavior. I also completed the “American Red Cross course: Cat and Dog First Aid”

Great communication, trustworthy
We couldn't be happier with Leora's care of our elderly lady pup, Coconut. Leora sincerely cares about and effectively ensures Coconut's safety and well-being on a daily basis. Coconut doesn't trust just anybody - but Leora quickly won the trust of our stubborn yet beloved girl. And Leora quickly won our trust too - even though we are such overprotective parents!!

When I am with a new dog, I am very sensitive to their behavior. It’s most important that they feel safe and are happy. I carry an animal first aid kit and water with me at all times when with clients. I am trustworthy and am familiar with the different criteria pet parents have for their dogs. When I worked for a dog company, I picked up dogs in their homes, drove them in my car to a park, and took them for hikes and playgroups, and I bring that sense of responsibility to my work for Rover.

The dogs health and safety are very important to me. I would want to know if the dog has any allergies, how they react to other dogs, and if the dog has any specific triggers.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks or hikes where they can use their senses. I also like to incorporate simple training throughout the walks. I also like to get the dog engaged with toys or sticks at the park to fetch.

Availability
I am available for dog walks on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and occasionally on weekends. I currently have less availability on Thursday and Friday.
