Pet care experience
I'm a BIG cat person! Even the temperamental ones warm up to me quickly. Maybe because they sense I appreciate their distinct cat personality! I've had at least one cat my entire life, until recently, when I lost my little Piper to hyperthyroidism and other complications. I also love dogs! Cleo is my 11-year-old terrier mix who loves walks on the greenway, belly rubs and Dentasticks. :-) Having cared for many older or sick pets, I was always nervous to leave them. It was the hardest part about traveling. My goal is to provide reassurance that your loved ones are in good hands while you're away. And to give you the freedom to relax and know your kids are being care for with love.

We request Leona every time we travel. She is so kind and our kitties are loved on and well taken care of. We are blessed to still have our sweet 19 yr old girl and I wouldn’t trust her care to anybody else.
Leona is awesome. I always get detailed notes about how my babies are doing, and I know they are getting good care and love when she's around.
Leona was amazing! She took care of our two senior dogs that needed very important heart medications twice daily. One is shy and can be a picky eater. He warmed up to her quickly and she was able to give him his meds along with the other dog. She was punctual and reliable. I will definitely use her again in the future.
Amazing experience! I had a last minute trip and was really anxious about leaving Piper with someone. She took amazing care of my fur baby and sent so many cute pictures.

I'm an outdoorsy person, so I would love to take your dog on long or short walks, to the dog park or many of the local dog-friendly trails. For cats, playtime is just as important, so I'd hope to spend some time interacting using toys or treats, if your cat is into that. And I'd be in heaven to pet sit a lap cat! Even one with gas...that really happened to me. :-) If taking care of pets at my house, all the same fun activities would apply. My home is fully equipped for cats and dogs, with an enclosed sunny sitting porch and small backyard. No crates, unless that's what your pet prefers. My goal is to create a cozy, familiar home away from home.

A typical day
If your dog is up for a longer walk, the Miccosukee Greenway is perfect. I know all the spots for any length adventure (1-5 miles in range). I'll see how your pup is feeling that day and we'll set out. Older dogs, like my girl Cleo, may prefer just to go for a quick car ride, then stroll around in the open field, getting fresh air and sunshine. After this, most dogs and people are ready for a nap. :-) Then some play time on the porch in the afternoon.

Availability
I left my corporate job in 2022 to enjoy a slower place, connect with people and nature, travel and explore a new career path. Without work, my schedule is very flexible. I am available daily and have loads of time to shower your fur babies with attention. I live on the east side of Tallahassee, close to Capital Regional Hospital, and a quick drive to many neighborhoods in town.
