My experience working with animals ranges from caring and training my own pets, to attending several hands-on animal care career camps, to working as a Junior Trainer with horses and young children with disabilities at Marcody Ranch. Most of my volunteer hours (500+) were with Dr. Harper at his The Animal Clinic of Dunlawton, in Port Orange in 2013. This is where I performed assistive duties with cleaning, reception, and bloodwork, daily tasks for basic animal care in the kennels and with other general tasks. I also assisted veterinarians in exam rooms, helped prep animals for surgery, and observed surgery preparation techniques in general medical procedures. Aside from volunteer work, I was also an employee at Pet Supplies Plus and Happy Pet for almost three years. While working here, I coordinated adoption events, and performed cashier, stock, and animal care positions.
