Pet care experience
Being a dog sitter is a dream come true for me! Not only do I get to give dogs the love they need to thrive in the world, but I get to give owners peace of mind while they’re away from their best friend. I know how difficult it can be away from our pups, so I’m here to make that time as easy as possible! I love being able to accommodate the needs of every individual pup’s personalities and needs, so I just can’t wait to meet you and your pooch. I currently work at a veterinary office, so dogs truly are my whole life! I’ve learned so much here in my time working at the office, and I always take those skills and lessons home with me to a stay. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I know how to administer subcutaneous medication as well, so your pup will always be in good hands with me—no matter what. I also have two dogs of my own right now, so I’m always happy to bring more puppy love into my life whenever possible! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I believe that communication is the foundation for a great stay! Even before your pup comes under my wing, I like to get as much information about you and your pup as possible. That way, I can get a very clear picture of your care expectations and some great information as to what your pup is like. When your pup is with me, I send detailed daily updates, with plenty of information on anything you need to be kept in the loop on. Of course, that also includes accompanying photos, so you can see just how much fun we’re having together!

If I could give zero stars I would. She confirmed the booking, yet never showed up, and never communicated any issues as to why she couldn't make it. Completely derailed our Fourth of July plans. Words can't describe my disappointment.
We had her house sit for our dog and came back to a destroyed house! The dog wasn’t in it kennel, and it looked as if she didn’t even stay at the house which we paid her to do. Multiple items were chewed and destroyed, plus they were broken doors inside of the house! Worst decision I ever made!
Lena has been walking my black lab, Roxi, for 2 1/2. She is so loving and patient with Roxi and she is always on time. Not only do I love Lena, Roxi loves her too and sees Lena as part of the family around here. You will be happy knowing your dog is in Lena’s hands.
Lena is a highly motivated pet care worker—I cannot recommend her enough! I have had dog-sitters who are apathetic and who let both discipline and routine slip, but Lena is organized, dedicated, and amazing at keeping my sweet lotus in good health and good spirits.

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
My neighborhood is a great place for dogs to hang out! There is so much to do around me, so we’ll never be starved for adventure. There are lots of walking trails nearby to explore, so those are always great options for quick jaunts outdoors. Likewise, there are multiple parks that make for great places to head out and make new friends! The Quincy/Buckley parks are wonderful dog parks, so I’d love to head there if your pup does well around other dogs. Currently, I work MTuF 8-6, W 8-7 and alternate every week between having Thursday and Saturday off. I also have a 2 hour lunch from 1230-230.
