I adore animals. I’m extremely patient and kind. I care for others’ pets as if they’re my own. I have helped to raise animals since I was little. They bring out a joy in me and I learn from them, too. Very experienced with caring for both cats and dogs. Lastly, animals really love me. One day, while walking to through the parking lot at my apartment complex, a man and his small dog were walking. His dog came up to me and licked me/sniffed me and the man, completely bewildered, hung up the phone conversation he was on and said, “I have never seen her do that with anyone in my entire life. She does not approach people but she likes you.” It made me feel so special and it was so rewarding as I truly care for and respect every single animal.

Lena is awesome! She loves animals and animals love her! She's kind and patient and my socially awkward/nervous dog is always excited to see her and receive some pats. She is also great with cats and can even get the "porch cats" (the strays) to trust her. I highly recommend Lena!

While caring for animals in other peoples’ homes or walking them, I will make sure to have my eye on the dog or cat at all times in order to ensure their safety. When meeting new animals, I really take the time to let them sniff me and get to know me. I like to get down on their level (just like I do with the kids I teach!) and give them time to get used to me. I’m a natural with animals and make sure to use tons of patience and love with them. Meeting different animals is the highlight of my day and it immediately brightens my mood. Additionally, I am super trustworthy and respectful of others’ homes.

Their mannerisms and behaviors. If they are socialized on walks and any behaviors they may exhibit so that I can know what to expect and prepare. I am strong so I can reign a dog back in walking-wise but knowing their temperament and how to best approach them to get them to trust me is important to me.
A typical day
I love to play fetch, frisbee or take them on walks through the parks. I love to go to dog parks or just stay within the neighborhood. I really enjoy spending time with animals and seeing them happy and excited (and make sure they’re hydrated and spoiled with treats)! I’m super good at commands and connecting with the dogs and know when to give them space but still observe them to make sure they are doing great. I have a great energy that dogs seem to like and, regardless, we’ll have fun no matter what we do! But definitely playing in the yard and taking walks as well as playing some tug-of-war would be fun!

I don’t start my new job until July 31st (I’m going to be a teacher at a Montessori School), so I am free Monday through Sunday!
