I've been around animals my entire life, growing up with both cats and dogs. During my childhood, my father bred Labrador Retrievers. In adulthood, I care for my own dog and have raised two litters of puppies through to adoption. I worked at an animal hospital for a year before deciding the medical field wasn't right for me, but animals were! I've worked in the pet industry for over three years and volunteered with both Second Chance in Columbia, MO and Kansas City Pet Project at their main shelter. Giving back to our fur-babies is my way of saying thank you for the unconditional love they show us, a walk goes a long way in the language of doggy! I strive to understand them, and know they all have different personalities, just like we do! A pocket full of treats never hurts, either:)
