Hi, I'm Leila, a lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, especially dogs. I have two family pups of my own, Sally and Chloe. Sally is an energetic 3 year old, and Chloe is 11 and laid back, both chocolate labs. I have plenty of experience helping my parents to dogsit through my teen years, as well as taking care of my own animals (2 dogs, a cat, and 3 tanks of fish) while my parents were out of town. When I was a freshman in high school I volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center and got experience safely interacting with all kinds of animals, especially ones who weren't used to people at all. Mostly at the rehabilitation center I prepared meals for animals and cleaned their dirty enclosures. After awhile, I decided to go back to dogs and began volunteering at Greyhound Pets Inc. in Woodinville where I volunteered regularly for 10 months. Tasks there included taking the dogs out to potty, cleaning up after them, giving treats, and sometimes hanging out with dogs who needed more social time. I worked with dogs who needed extra care because of injuries or sickness they were being treated for, and I learned how to apply muzzles and booties properly. Overall, I really enjoy working with dogs and caring for dogs properly is very important to me.
