Registered Nurse Seeks Pups to Love
Pet care experience
We recently moved to Fort Lauderdale from Coconut Grove. I was employed as a licensed and bonded pet sitter with Equipaws Pet Services for almost 4 years while I went to school to get my nursing degree and become a Registered Nurse. Unfortunately, Equipaws only services the Miami area. I am using my RN license to start a holistic practice in Neurological Integration, but I miss my pups! I love dogs and walking. I personally had a golden retriever for 14 years and a Chow Chow for 7 years. I am trained in pet CPR and can administer medications including shots. I was a chemist for almost 20 years and am very detail oriented. No task is too large or small to maintain the routine you have and keep your pet happy and healthy. I understand how important it is to get a full and detailed report on your pet. I send daily pictures and journal events.

I have experience with taking dogs to a local dog park, walking in the neighborhood or just hanging out. My Chow Chow broke her back and required a spinal fusion and I have experience with slings, medications and mobility issues. I have taken care of dogs that require thunder jackets, CBD and tranquilizers. Four years of professional pet sitting has given me LOTS of great opportunities and experiences. I am confident with my medical knowledge and practical experience, I can handle any situation.

Before seeing your dog for walks or overnight visits, I would like to have a meet and greet so I can assess the routine you follow and any special instructions you might have. This will make the visit more enjoyable for everyone involved. Pets have enough stress when their owners leave. Maintaining consistency is the key to making the transition minimal and gaining their trust and love. I don't have a pet right now... it isn't conducive at this time. This affords me the ability to dedicate my time and attention to your pup.

Availability
Currently, I work from home and part time at the Wings of Tropics butterfly garden at Fairchild. I have lots of flexibility in my schedule. In the past, I have done daily morning pet walks for families and would be most receptive to this. I love to see pups routinely, but I am also available for visits a couple of times a day or overnight visits if you are going out of town.
