Hi everyone!! My name is Leigh, I am 27 years old and I live outside Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. I have been surrounded by dogs from a young age and have always loved them. So much so that in January 2021 I started volunteering at a rescue based in Moira, Northern Ireland. This gave me exposure to many breeds of dogs and their temperaments. I have learned to adapt and how to approach certain breeds, give attention to dogs and space where they need it and ensuring the dog is generally comfortable/happy in their environment. I give oral medication where needed and can identify some health issues that need medical attention. I am happy to care for/walk several dogs at one time providing the other dogs are comfortable with each other. I am used to dealing with 30+ dogs at a time in the rescue so this would come with great ease. Growing up I was surrounded by my own dogs; Dex, Renly and Luna. Unfortunately we lost our beautiful Renly to cancer in 2019 and Dex & Luna to cancer in 2023. I recently rescued my own dog, Obi who is a 6 month old pug. He is extremely friendly and wants to play with every dog he meets! I love going for walks around the local parks, going to the beach and forest walks so would love to take some other dogs on my adventures with me!
