Casual, fun and crazy about dogs

Pet care experience

Dogs of all sizes welcome (large and XL included)! Only one guest pup at a time, so lots of one-on-one attention! We are a dog-loving family that is ready to give your pooch the perfect retreat while you are away! We only accept one dog at a time, so you know your four-legged family member is getting lots of attention. My husband and I have both had pets all our lives and have been the primary caregiver for a pet for 19 years. We own one dog and one cat of our own. For the last several months, we have been watching dogs while the owners are away. We are a family that is completely comfortable with all types of dogs and love to go for walks, play fetch, hang out, etc. We only board one dog at a time, so we treat any guest pups as if they are our own. I work from home, so I am here most of the time. Dogs can be dropped off after 8:00 AM and picked up before 8:00 PM. Please let me know ahead of time when you plan to drop off and pick up, so that we can ensure that we are here. Each night is billed on a 24 hour cycle. Any time after that is considered doggy daycare and will be charged at 1/2 price, or $12.50 (up to 12 hours). I require a meet-n-greet for all first-time guests. An up-to-date vaccination record is also required.

LeAnne did a great job of taking care of my boy! Picked him up and dropped him off on time and was very good at keeping me informed through pictures of how/ what he was doing!! Super happy with her service!!!

LeeAnn and her family were awesome. My sweet Rosie has never stayed with anyone besides the kennel. She loved LeeAnn's house and was very comfortable there. I am so happy I found someone who can watch Rosie when we are away. I now don't have to worry about her being at a Kennel with lots of other dogs. I couldn't be happier with our experience!!!!

LeeAnn comes very highly recommended from me.She has a loving compassion for all animals. She has been a very loving support for our dog when we had to leave our dog for a little while on vacation. Our dog gets very excited to go to LeeAnns home for a visit. She has a very nice home in a great neighborhood, and a lovely fenced in yard,so our dog is free to excercise. She has a very friendly dog who loves playing with doggie guests!!!!

We have a 3 year old lab and have left him with LeeAnn on 3 different occasions. She and her family are fabulous pet care givers! I can not describe the peace I feel leaving Oliver in her care! She really makes me feel like she enjoys Oliver and that she is not just about the income. We are thankful we made the connection with her through dogvacay and plan to use her for all of our "vacay" needs!

Information LeeAnn C. would like to know about your pet

We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes, especially those that are larger. We have a large dog, so we are familiar with how frustrating it can be to find someone who isn't scared off by your pup's size. Our house and yard are large and can accommodate any breed and size. We have three children, one dog and one cat, so it's important that your pup is well-socialized. Also, we have a fence that some tiny dogs could fit through or under. I require a meet-n-greet before accepting any pets to be sure that your pooch will get along with everyone in the family. All friendly dogs are welcome!

A typical day

Our neighborhood, Baxter Village, is an extremely dog-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks and trails in the forest. Your pooch will get at least one walk per day (weather permitting), but may get two walks on some days. We believe that a well-exercised dog is a well-behaved dog. Our guest pups will be treated as our own in our home and will get lots of love and attention. We offer treats, peanut-butter filled kongs, etc, with your approval. We spend a lot of time outdoors when possible and even have walking trails that we can access from our back yard! We have one dog who thinks that everyone is his best friend. The pups will have all the playtime they want in our fenced-in backyard. It provides plenty of room to run and play with our three children and us. Please be aware that our fence is open-slat so some tiny dogs might be able to squeeze through or under. We also have one cat that gets along well with our dog. Most of the time, he's off somewhere else in the house, though. If the dogs need to be left unsupervised, your pup can relax safely in your crate or our extra-large crate. If your dog is nervous being placed in a crate, but is comfortable in our home and does not exhibit any destructive behaviors, he or she is welcome to stay in a gated off area of the house. Our house is smoke-free. You can enjoy your time away stress-free knowing your furry family member is well cared for.
