My wife and I are both retired and have almost always had a dog or two both before and after getting married 46 years ago. The last three have been Border Collies and the current one is a 1 year old, tri-colored, neutered male named Charlee. He loves interacting with other dogs, especially playful ones. About my yard We do have a large, fenced in backyard of approximately 1/3 acre. It is gently sloping and mostly grass covered with many large live oak trees.
