Availability
I've just transferred from the local community college to UofM to get a dual degree in Biochemistry and Chemical Engineering. If you're looking for a long-term pet sitter. I'll be around town (all year round) for the next 3-4 years. I can work anytime - day or night - and I can usually be available on short notice. I have classes during the week which last for about 3-6 hours at a time. When I'm not attending class, I will be watching your pets full-time, and I will be able to come back to them during my breaks in between classes.

Pet care experience
I have done pet care for family and friends ever since I was young and I have started professional services through Rover in July 2022. I specialize in working with animals that are rescues or otherwise have behavioral issues. Since starting on Rover, I have gained many clients in the Ann Abor/Ypsilanti area and have obtained private insurance coverage through Pet Sitters Associates. Starting in June 2025, I have filed with the State of Michigan to form and operate under Leask Pet Care LLC. I can guarantee that your pets will be taken care of to the absolute best that there can be. Prices are negotiable depending on your expectations and behavior of your animals. ------- For Dogs (cats see below): When I was younger, I used to take care of my neighbour's dog and I would play with my grandma's and cousin's dogs anytime I could see them. Now, within the past nine years or so my family has adopted a dog of our own and I've gotten to bond with him and care for him. I love playing with him and walking him out in our neighborhood. I was a volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley in 2022 before I went off to college and have started volunteering again this July 2024. Through this, I have gotten experience with working with dogs who have behavioral issues and require a bit more attention to handle them. For Cats (dogs see above): I started professionally sitting on Rover in July 2022 and have gained many cat clients beginning in December 2023. I know that cats are very different than dogs and that they like their personal space and to be in control of the situation. I try my best to make sure that the cat is comfortable when I'm around and I will not make any sudden movements or loud actions towards the cat. If the cat is shy, I will sit quietly with it during the booking so it can get used to me. Once a cat has warmed up to me, I love giving scritches, playing, brushing, and just hanging out. -------

Reviews

Thank you again Leask! Another excellent cat-sitting with lots of photos and great communication.

Leask took great care of our very shy 10-year old cat during a recent trip. He was patient and gentle about approaching her, and he sent great photos to assuage my worries about her. I look forward to working with Leask again.

Leask is the best. Really reliable and my cat really likes him. I will book with Leask again.

Very helpful and responsive! Our dogs were well cared for and happy with Leask.
