Pet care experience
Hello, my name is LeAnn and I'm located in Northwest Indiana. I have four dogs, five cats, and several 'exotic' pets, including two disabled pigeons. I am currently studying animal medicine to become a veterinary technician, and I have a great love for all animals. Aside from having my own pets, I have years of professional and volunteer experience in pet care. In addition to dogs and cats, I'm comfortable caring for exotic pets, including reptiles, birds, rats, guniea pigs, and more. I have experience with special needs and senior pets and am comfortable giving medication and accommodations as needed, this includes shots and other non-oral forms of medication. Any pet in my care will get appropriate and individual attention. I am ready to follow clear directions and instructions, but also prepared to follow my intuition, depending on the preferences of the client.

I would like to know the pets temperament before meeting them so I know how to approach them. Even timid or reactive pets can be handled when prepared. I love all breeds, but as a slight woman, extra large dogs can be more difficult to handle. Not impossible, just more difficult.
A typical day
I will go on walks in areas that are comfortable and familiar to the pet. The activities will cater to the individual pet, such as bringing along a ball or stick for fetch lovers.
