Pet care experience
Growing up in a house of eleven or more pets taught me a wide range of skills needed to take care of various animals ranging from dogs and cats to birds, hamsters, fish, and chickens. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets most of my life. I board at my own home when possible but have a ton of experience with overnight house sitting. I’ve house sat as short as one night to as long as three weeks. Age is not an issue. I’ve taken care of puppies as young as two months old to senior dogs as old as 15. I love to make sure your pet gets the attention they need and deserve while you are away. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions regarding your care expectations as I am one to make sure everyone is happy and cared for. I love to share photos and updates about once per day but can provide more or less frequent check ins if you prefer. I am happy to provide your desired level of communication and understand what it means to have an attentive pet sitter. There are no breed preferences. I enjoy any and all types of animals and am grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing people and their pets doing this job.

Leana was fantastic! She's is super friendly and was accommodating and understanding of our dog's separation anxiety. It was our first time leaving Duke with a dog sitter overnight and just meeting her helped take away some of our anxiety. They had a great time and I appreciated Leana's pictures and updates. Leana is the best! Our dog Ollie just loves her. She took him to the dog park, took him for walks and kept him company. Leana was very understanding of our needs and adapted her schedule to accommodate. I would highly recommend her. I will definitely hire her again.
I had Leana watch Ziva while I was out of town and she was AMAZING! I felt so comfortable with her and Ziva seemed to really get along with her so well. She kept in constant contact with me and sent me pictures of Ziva all the time. I felt really safe having Leana at my house. I think she's an Awesome person and I will definitely be having her take care of Ziva again for many times to come!!!!!

A typical day
I look for nearby pet friendly parks to go for walks where there is plenty to smell and explore. Lots of snuggles and neck scratches are to be expected. Each animal is unique so I look for ways to connect as much as possible.
