Love my Rovers like my own.
Pet care experience
UPDATE: I'm taking a break from Rover, as a housemate with a dog will be living with me this fall. Let me take your high energy dog for a long walk or hang out with your chill couch potato. My two cats and I have lived with 8 different dogs in the last 6 years, so most dogs are no problem. I have medium or small crate, doggie beds, bowls, toys, doo baggies, and a variety of leashes. Just bring your dog, their food, and any special items (slow feeding bowl, favorite toy, meds) they may need. I've been walking and caring for the dogs of friends and family on an ad hoc basis for some time (see photos), so Rover has been a natural fit. Boarding: *For peace of mind, know that our home is also protected by exterior cameras and security system, as well as interior camera I use to watch crated dogs if I am away* I live a stable, quiet life. Dogs who are sensitive to chaos and noise will find relief in our cozy home. If you prefer them to be crated at night, I have one crate that fits a medium size dog. Feel free to bring your own crate as well. If I'm away for a few hours, they can be kept in a separate room away from the cats, crated or not. Of course, your dog is welcome to snuggle at night or free range in my bedroom. I have one medium dog bed and one small. On weekdays, dogs will be in a crate for 4 hours maximum, at least one potty break on lunch. I'm happy to take your pup hiking, or stick closer to home for walks if you feel more comfortable. (Dogs will be on leash at all times outside the house). My cats are treated for fleas monthly and I would ask your animals are protected as well.
Reviews
Champ gave her some challenges but Leah was communicative and handled them well!
Leah was amazing to work with, and as a new dog mom, she helped answer all my questions and alleviate my fear. She made sure that Kaju and Clover (her puppy) were comfortable with each other before she let them play with each other. She also went out of her way to take Kaju (with my permission) to the dog park and made sure he was warm and cozy there. She kept me up to date with his temperament and activities and sent lots of photos and videos. I would not hesitate to return to Leah as I felt that he was very well taken care of and comfortable.
Very impressed. Took notes of our special requests for our dogs care. Our dog seemed comfortable with her. Highly recommend.
Having known Leah for a little over a year, I knew the level of care she would give my dog. She was super intentional in making sure she knew how to care for Frankie well, sent pictures, and was very communicative. If you want to remain carefree about your fur baby while you’re away, Leah is the perfect person to entrust them to.

I have a small fenced yard for safe outdoor playtime but I take my Rovers on short or long walks around the neighborhood. I have a pandemic puppy (born Sept. 2020, so almost one year), and typically she and Rovers would take turns in the office downstairs until they get to know each other through a gate before I let them interact freely in the house.

The more I know, the more it will feel like home for your little one. - Bed time and morning routine - Cues/commands they know - Personality quirks - Any issues like excessive water drinking, eating house plants, allergies, thunderstorm phobia? - Extra sensitive to heat/cold? - Not quite potty trained?
A typical day
Short walks around the neighborhood, play time in the back yard, short hike at Rum Village, Optional activities: Hiking at Potato Creek, Visit Nearby Dog Park, Long walks (2+ miles) or jog.
