Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Leah Simon and I have lived with dogs in the house for all of my life (I am 20 years old) and I don't feel quite the same without them around me. I've helped care for a variety of breeds of dogs over the course of my life from large lab mixes to a small Maltese Poodle. I am certified to perform first aid procedures on dogs including CPR. Lastly, over the past year I have worked at a dog lodge in Chapel Hill called the Green Beagle Lodge that offers daycare and boarding to animals in the area. My responsibility is to supervise the dogs when they're in the yard as well as to do chores around the lodge.

Leah watched our pups while we were on vacation for 1 week. They seemed well taken care of but I had some challenges getting a hold of Leah. It took 3 days before we received a photo or update regarding them. Moving forward it would be helpful if pictures or updates were sent on the first day and occasionally thereafter.

We had a very difficult time getting in touch with Leah when she was dogsitting for us while we were at the beach. She sent us pictures the first day and then went quiet. We ended up having to call her parents to get her to respond, so it was a very stressful vacation. I see she has some positive reviews now, so I am hoping it was a learning experience for her as well. She was very nice to our dog. I would have written this earlier, but she said she wasn't going to dogsit any longer. But when I decided to give it another try with Rover, I saw she was still listed, so felt it was important to share our experience.
