Pet care experience
We are a family of avid dog lovers! Right now, we have our main man Joey who is a 10 year old black labrador retriever and the light of our lives. I work from home, so I will be available to spend lots of time with your pet during the day! My fiancé and I have owned and cared for dogs our entire lives - we are seasoned veterans when it comes to dog care and training. We've cared for all different size dogs, ages, and training levels, both in and outside of Rover. We have so much love for animals of all sorts and we can't wait to show your little pals some of that love and care! There are quite a few parks and playgrounds around the neighborhood where your dog can play, frolic with other pups and have a great time! I am also training for marathon, so I'll be running more and more often and would love to take your dog on runs through the wonderful neighborhood & parks, and for hikes on the nearby trails! We guarantee you will have peace of mind while your best friend is in our care. We like to think of it as your dog having a vacation while you have yours! With all the activities we do, the time we spend outside, the walks and playtime, your dog is sure to come home tired and happy when you pick them up! Whether your dog is small, or a giant, likes to play or nap, is young or old, we guarantee that they will have an absolute blast! We love everything about the care of dogs, from snuggling, to training, to walks. We have a wealth of experience between us. We are also comfortable administering any medications your dog might need. We have one dog, Joey, a 10 year old black lab. He is incredibly friendly with people and dogs alike, and has gotten along famously with dogs that we've watched in the past! With all the dogs we have watched, we have never had a single issue with Joey not getting along with any of them. He's a big love bug! We've found that Joey adapts really well to whatever the dogs we are caring for at the time want to do. If it seems like your dog wants to play, Joey will definitely love to run around and play with them right back. If it seems that your dog is a bit more laid back, he adapts to that too. He definitely values his nap time and snores like a freight train. :) I am currently working from home, so my schedule is extremely flexible and I am always available for walks and playtime! We go for plenty of walks every day whether we are dog-sitting or just going out for a stroll around the neighborhood! Your pup will never have to wait to go out, to be fed, or to be played with! As previously mentioned, I work from home so your pet will spend almost no time alone during the day! We also don't crate our dog Joey, so if you do have a crate schedule you would like for us to maintain, we are happy to bring your crate in to continue their training. We are available to answer any and all questions you may have about our care and service!

Thank you Leah and your family for been so special with Mateo, we know he has a wonderful time with you, he looks so happy, there is no better place to leave him than your home. We have been using your service for years and every time has been wonderful (last time for a month), We do not hesitate to leave him again with you. Thank you!!!
Halley had a great week with Leah and was well-cared-for throughout her stay. Leah contacted me immediately when a question arose and sent pictures of Halley. We'll definitely use Leah again!
Roxy was so peaceful when she got home a lot better than in other boarding situation. Thanks Leah for your thoughtful care.
Finnegan is happy as can be with Leah. He has Joey and family to keep him happy and I am never worried when he is there. Thanks Leah... for your care of Finnny.

No breed preferences here! We love all dogs just the same! Because our dog Joey is 10 years old now, unfortunately we aren't accepting puppies or high energy dogs for boarding or daycare. Please be upfront and honest about whether your dog is not fully house trained. While our dogs never have to wait to go outside for breaks, and we often spend a lot of time outside regardless of the season, we would still like to be made aware of this. Please also be upfront and honest about whether or not your dog has any destructive tendencies, such as chewing on furniture or eating toys, socks, or other clothing articles, just so we are aware of this as well. Joey is completely up to date on his vaccinations including rabies and bordetella, and we require that all Rover dogs that we watch - big or small, be fully up to date on all their shots as well. Please feel free to bring copies of the paperwork for our reference or in the unlikely event of an emergency. We would be happy to provide paperwork on Joey at your request. We would love to know any pertinent information about your pet's temperament, any information on vet/emergency procedures, any medications, any specific issues that we should be aware of, etc. Essentially, anything you think is relevant or would help your pet enjoy their stay with us safely and comfortably!

There are quite a few parks and playgrounds around the neighborhood where your dog can play, frolic with other pups and have a great time! I am also training for marathon, so I'll be running more and more often and would love to take your dog on runs through the wonderful historic neighborhood & parks, and hikes on the nearby trails! I work from home and walk and run very often, so your dog will always have room to roam and will never need to wait to use the potty or have outdoor play time. Wherever your pet lays their head is their bed! If you have a bed that your dog prefers, that's great! If not, they are welcome anywhere in the house! We don't crate our dog Joey, but I'd be happy to continue crate training or any other kind of training you might be doing with your dog. Your dog will literally always have at least one person to play with, plus our dog Joey to keep them company! My schedule is very flexible and I am always available to let the dogs in and out, go for walks, and play! We have plenty of toys, balls, sticks, and frisbees for fetch and play - a basket full of them! Feel free to bring your dog's favorite toy, but we have plenty of toys and things to keep them occupied! What to bring for your dog's stay: Food and food bowl (we have water bowls), any medicines they may need, and a leash. Not necessary, but feel free to bring: A bed (we have several spare dog beds), toys (we have a basket full of toys so also not strictly necessary), or treats! Please feel free to bring copies of vet paperwork for our reference or in the unlikely event of an emergency. If your dog is crate trained, feel free to bring his or her crate and we will continue that training per your request.
