Got my first dog at age 4. Within days I got nipped on the lip by her. It never fazed my love or adoration. I was 18 when I had to put her down. We also had cats and canaries growing up. There has been numerous cats & dogs thru-out my life. All rescues or strays. I worked in conjunction with the HS in the early '80's in helping citizens that got in over their head with pets. Spent time around horses both in high school and in my late 50’s. I raised a family with cats & dogs as an integral part. I tried vet tech school in my late 40's, but to much cost! Worked at a Vet clinic for a year. So giving meds, nail trims, or baths is no problem. I hadn’t owned a dog since the late '90's, just cats. But last fall we took in a old dog that nobody wanted, who’s owner’s both passed. I'm waiting for kisses! But hopefully no bites!!
