I have had my own dog for 3 years and been co-parent to two previous dogs. In my youth, I volunteered in animal care, where I learned a lot about animal behavior and enrichment activities. I have a special interest in getting to know an animal and developing games to stimulate or channel that animal's instincts and cognitive abilities. During walks, I use my experience with animal behavior and knowledge of the specific animal I'm with to tailor a more interesting route for my furry companion, all the while, always keeping a keen yet cheery eye out for any signs of exhaustion, dehydration, or distress. My dog has grain allergies, which has lead me to show an overabundance of caution when it comes to treat-giving. By default, I always use small grain-free treats, and only when a dog's parent has given me express permission to give their dog treats. I do not walk biters or extreme pullers.
