Pet care experience
I was raised in a household full of animals- from popular domestic animals like cats, fish, dogs to more exotic pets like turtles, geckos, birds, and chickens. I even spent some time volunteering for a nature center as a teenager and cared for injured wildlife rehabilitating them for later release back into the wild. This played a key role in my development of a deep love and understanding for animals that is just as passionate today as it was when I was growing up. It is my belief that animals are not just pets, but a part of the family! I have immense experience with raising, training, and caring for dogs in particular. I have had many pets who were considered "special needs" (one being a dog with a hyperthyroid condition and epilepsy who required extensive routined medication) and have no problem administering medication and addressing basic pet first aid. I would love the opportunity to meet and care for your furry family member!

I never (ever!) leave in depth reviews like this but I HAD to for Leah! She is absolutely wonderful and I felt very confident that my baby was in safe hands- she is super attentive, sends daily updates with tons of photos, and is so responsive and accommodating. Leah has a wonderful, loving energy and you can tell she is just a compassionate person who loves animals and will care for them as her own. She made sure I was comfortable from start to finish, asked me how often I would like to receive updates, and was incredibly accommodating to my schedule. I cannot say enough that you can tell immediately when you meet Leah she is genuinely caring towards your pet and wants to make them (and you!) as comfortable and as possible while your pet is in her care. She went above and beyond!!! Thank you!!

I have a nice walking area in my gated apartment community and a friendly rescue (a dog older in his years and very calm and loving) who would help make your baby feel at home. I allow pets on the couch and bed and offer a loving, calm environment with toys, beds, and tons of attention at their disposal. We also make trips to a nearby dog park if they stay with us! Rest assured your baby will be safe, loved, and treated like a prince/princess!

I have a 13 year old male Shiba Inu who is quiet, calm, and very submissive so I can only sit dogs that are OK with another pup sharing their space.
A typical day
We will go on walks in the area surrounding my apartment (lots of grassy areas that are inside apartment community) and go for rides in the car and to a dog park so we can run and play!

Availability
I work during the week, am able to take care of pets before and after work (8 hour shift- except for Fridays with a 6 hour shift). On weekends your babies will get my full attention and availability if they stay with me or need walks/check-ins!! When I am at work, I am able to monitor how they are doing via an indoor camera set up to make sure they are doing well.
