11 Years of Vet Tech Experience

Pet care experience

Caring for animals is my passion. I love meeting new pets and caring for your fur babies as though they were my own. I consider our pets to be beloved members of our family and understand the significant amount of trust required to allow someone to come care for your baby in your home. My goal is always to care for your pet as my own, communicate effectively, and complete responsibilities as I would want them done for me. I have worked in and managed veterinary hospitals for 11 years. I am a certified veterinary assistant and attend yearly continuing education to continue to develop my skill set and stay current with veterinary medicine quality standards. In total, I have worked with over 50 veterinarians in over 15 veterinary facilities. I have experience working with small animals as well as exoctics. I am comfortable administering medication and always monitor all pets closely during every visit for signs that anything could be wrong. After ten years in the industry, I made the decision to return to school to complete my Bachelors degree. I am currently a Poultry & Animal Science Major at Texas A&M University with an expected graduation date of May 2023. This decision led me to become a Rover Pet Sitter and relief veterinary technician for the Bryan/College Station area.

Appreciate the service. Nice to not worry about your pet while you are away for a couple of days.

Leah was fantastic! She came a few days early to meet our pups and go over everything for them. She made sure to give us plenty of updates and even in bad weather made it a priority to get to our babies. Our pups loved her and we can’t wait to call her again!

Safety, trust & environment

I love all pets deeply and care for each one as if they were my own. I understand that they are members of our family, incredibly important, and are immensely loved. I realize that it takes a lot of trust and confidence to allow someone to care for your pet. I do everything I can to communicate effectively and build relationships with all my clients so that you can feel more comfortable while you are away.

Information Leah L. would like to know about your pet

Would love to know what your pet’s likes or dislikes are. What do they have fun doing (fetch, running etc.)? Do they show aggression or anxiety towards other dogs? Are there certain places such as feet where they don’t like to be touched? How do you prefer to excercise them? Are there specific treats allowed?

A typical day

I like to come and do a visit beforehand to get a sense of your pets usual routine. I then ask you what you would prefer I do in regards to activities. If there is additional free time, I will play with them inside or outside and give plenty of attention and love!
