We were in a bind after a few attempts failed attempts at finding a Rover we contacted Leah. She responded later that day and accepted our offer. It was around Christmas , and I realized everyone is busy, but her responses after that we’re not so prompt . We set up the meet and greet and Leah came by to see the dogs and our home. A few days before our scheduled departure we needed to adjust the start time. We tried for a couple of days to contact Leah and was not getting any responses. Finally she replied and we gave her the updated info. We have two dogs ( a13yr old lab and a 10 month old golden retriever) both are house trained and the puppy had not had an accident in our home since he was 4 months old. Upon our return we noticed the smell of an accident and found a bag of poop on our back deck. I totally understand accidents will happen. But Leah never mentioned this to us. We also found a small amount of vomit in our bedroom. We do not have security cameras. We just ask that Leah be here most of the time and not leave the dogs for more than 4hrs. It’s possible the dogs had some anxiety while we were gone … we will never know. We never laid down rules for Leah to have visitors, but there was friend of hers here when we got home . I assumed it was over night . Trust is the most important factor in hiring a Rover and we did not have this feeling while we were on vacation and definitely after we returned. I gave her rating based on the trust level when we returned.
