Pet care experience
As an experienced customer service professional with a love of dogs and years of experience working with them, I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this role. Currently, I am studying BSc(Hons) Canine Training and Performance at Hartpury University. In September 2023, I will begin my final year on this course. Being an undergraduate provides patience and reliability. As part of my course, I cover topics such as basic dog training and behaviour, the five domains of animal welfare, health and disease, health management and managing wellbeing in human-animal relationships.

Leaby has always been considerate with my dogs needs, looked after her when we first got her to give her company whilst I went to work, when I came home she had fed and walked my dog and on occasion would bath my dog if she had gone on a muddy walk. Can’t praise this girl enough for taking care of my baby ❤️

I have a fenced garden and family dogs have visited before so I know that it's safe. I can assist with basic training sit, down, stay, recall, heel. I have a clicker that can be used for the training or if you provide me with the feed/treats, can be done that way with verbal cues too.

Character/temperament are they good with other dogs (or not)? Have they recently had an operation? How long are they allowed to be outside or how much exercise is required etc. Any health needs that is important to know, any allergies?
A typical day
Roughly about 45 mins walk from Middlewood Way (one way), within a 0-2 mile radius there is Chadkirk Chapel with lovely walks, Poise Brook Local Nature Reserve, Woodbank Park, Torkington Park. Would assess how long to walk based on the dogs needs/weather etc. If toys can be provided that would be better but let me know and I can buy some tennis balls or similar (if your dog likes fetch or just chasing a ball). I can keep them on a long line until they respond to me fully (so they still have the enjoyment of running around but still an aspect of control because I'll be holding them still)

Availability
Term time is used to determine my availability as a university student. For the sake of reducing confusion, I will always make sure that my calendar is updated. The prices are “high” ish as rover take upto 15% per booking
