As a dog-owner who used to train for marathons with her two very energetic dogs - an Australian Shepherd-Border Collie mix named Snickers and a yellow lab named Ollie - I’m all about giving your dog the exercise and engagement they need (so they’re not expending that energy on tearing up the household furniture!) I have experience using different collars and leashes and want to give your dog the time to sniff and “read the news” on walks, while avoiding aggressive leash behavior, like pulling. As a full-time engineer at Google, I’m mostly available on weekends, but also Tuesdays and Fridays after 3pm. It goes without saying, I believe in positive over negative reinforcement - hugs, petting, verbal encouragement - and I have much experience navigating hairy situations like running into an aggressive dog (or human) on a walk.
