ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR PETS!!! My partner and I went away for an international business trip recently and regretfully booked Lea to watch our cat for a week. Within the first hour, it was clear she did not know how to provide basic, general care for cats. She markets herself as a medical student on this app to deem credibility from pet owners, but as to demonstrate her competence, let me just say that her first question to me was “how do you put litter in the litter box.” Additionally, I provided clear instructions on how to care/approach our shy fur baby that she completely disregarded. She taunted, scared, and ultimately provoked him. I wish I had trusted my gut when I picked up on the first red flag. Not only did she significantly over feed him, she removed her bed frame to shove a food bowl in his face which absolutely terrified him. And of course, like a scared cat would, he reacted. Then, after deciding she no longer wanted to deal with him anymore, she texted us that she would be abandoning her apartment to go stay with a friend and that our cat would be left alone in her unit for a week until we returned. In her words, she “didn’t care.” We booked a second rover to move him out of her apartment back to ours and even she noted Lea’s incompetence as a sitter. There was food and treats lying all over her floor, her bed was taken apart, and his toys were still in the wagon we initially left her with. Overall, she put our cat in danger, ruined our trip, and was horribly uncommunicative. For the sake of your pets and also your own sanity, please please please do not book her.
