Your pet’s new bestie!
Pet care experience
I have been on Rover for a year and a half and on Wag for 4 years. I am a Master’s student at UTCVM and have shadowed in a small and large animal hospitals, so I know the signs of distress and basic care. I have experience caring for senior cats and dogs as well, giving sub-q medication, and oral medication. My dream is to be a veterinarian so taking care of your fur baby is no issue and is a passion of mine! I work with horses a lot so bring on the big dogs! Can’t wait to become your dog’s (or cat) newest bestie 🐾
Reviews
Layla is so sweet and took such great care of our two dogs and our house. We got daily updates and I could tell they were super comfortable with her. Highly, highly recommend her and would absolutely 100% love to have her stay with them again!
Layla was wonderful for our 2 pups! She was professional and communicated very well over the 6 day stay. The dogs were happy and content when we returned! Would definitely recommend Layla and use her again!
I would highly recommend Layla! She is so sweet and did a great job watching our crazy hyper puppy. We went out of the country for 5 days and she sent me updates with pictures up until we didn't have service anymore. The moment we got back in the country she gave an update about the whole week with more pictures!
Layla is absolutely amazing with our dogs and a great communicator!

Safety, trust & environment
I have my own cat and stimulation is always important. Lack of stimulation is how you have a dog or cat that is “annoying” so I am willing to be that while people work during the day. I always look for signs of fear, distress, or aggression when entering a new home with a dog. I am the stranger in the situation so I don’t take offense to barking or timidness. With walks I look for heat stress or signs of being tired as well. And if we have to end a walk early due to weather I always stay to give your pup time out of their crate or time with their new bestie (me!)
Information Layla G. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is more shy, doesn’t like being picked up, anything where if they act weird I’ll know why. I’ve had dogs growl at me, but the owner warns me they’re just shy and scared and I’ll take my time and we will become friends after! Also let me know if giving treats after a walk is ok! Because I will gladly give them some if you have them handy. Feeding and potty schedule is also important to see if I can give your furry friend the best of care during that day! I am a visual person so any important information please write it either in a note left for me or message it in addition to telling me verbally!
A typical day
I usually walk your pup around the neighborhood if there’s nice walking areas where you live. I live near lakeshore park so we can enjoy the scenery there! If there are toys out in your home we will 100% have play time after the walk.

I am currently a graduate student and my schedule is a little all over the place! I am unable to take any new clients for walks at the moment until I defend my thesis! But pet sittings are up for grabs as I have a bit more flexibility! I’m in my writing phase so it’s very easy for me to work from home with your pet!
