Pet care experience
With over eight years of experience in animal care, I am well-versed in the field and incredibly eager to care for more pets. As an independent Pet Sitter, I visit client’s residences to care for their pets while they’re away. I ensure that their pets are fed, given water, walked, bathed, and engaged in plenty of physical activity if requested by the owner. I also am occasionally asked to remain in their residence overnight or to provide in-home boarding. I am responsible and take my clients' trust extremely seriously. I have excellent organizing abilities and am able to keep track of appointments and associated duties. I love animals of all types and am a diligent, dedicated, and compassionate caregiver. My experience ranges from 2 month old puppies all the way to dogs that are 10 years and older. I also can assist with regular housekeeping tasks such as tidying up around the client’s home, taking out trash, getting the mail, etc.

Wonderful sitter! Very good communication! Our dog was so happy when we picked her up and we received several photos and videos! She will definitely be our 1st choice whenever we need a break or out of town. She booked us last minute and was so helpful!
It’s always hard for me to leave my dog, but Layla did an AMAZING job of watching her! Layla is so responsive and sent so many pictures of Chloe while I was away, which gave me so much peace of mind. She took Chloe took the dog park and gave her lots of cuddles. I will definitely hire Layla again when I need dog sitting!

Animals, are my life. I’ve been told by many that I’m very responsible and attentive, and that not only do they trust me with their pet, but trust me with their children as well. Pets are allowed on furniture in my home & are fed according to their owners instructions. As of right now, I do live in an apartment but that will be changing very soon in the beginning of September! However, until then, my apartment complex does have two very spacious dog parks where I take my own dogs everyday for physical exercise. I also love walking and going on hikes if that is something the owner would want. If I am in the clients home, I follow all of their instructions very precisely. I truly believe that caring for animals is something I was intended to do in life. I promise that your pet will be in the best of care when they’re with me and feel safe and loved. Your fur baby and I will have a blast! I even can bring them to dog parks, outdoor restaurants, and etc. if the owner grants permission.

Before taking care of someone else’s pet, my main focus is to make sure that they’re friendly with other pets and people. I can handle high energy, disabilities, frequent potty breaks, really all of it. Animals are my life and it’s my duty to make sure they’re given the best care. Anything the owner thinks needs to be mentioned beforehand, will be greatly appreciated!
A typical day
Having a high energy dog myself, physical and mental stimulation is very important to me when it comes to taking care of animals! I also am a very active individual so I love going for long morning walks, midday hikes, and evening walks as well. I also enjoy going to the dog park and spending a few hours there. Don’t worry, I bring lots of water and treats with me! I also wanted to mention that I do currently live in an apartment complex which has two private dog parks and plenty of sidewalks with grass for long walks throughout the complex. However, I will be moving into a house in July with a very spacious backyard! If granted permission, I would love to take your pet to doggy parks, outdoor restaurants, and even the lake / pool. I also have many friends with dogs that would love to have play dates with your fur baby while they’re in my care! I will give your pet the best time while they’re with me. We’ll explore the best parks in Charlotte and the best doggy breweries (if granted permission by the owner of course). This will be my full time job so I promise that your pet and I will be having fun all day long. I promise to give them all the attention, love, and care they need and deserve!

I just graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with two bachelors degrees in Business Management and Biology. Pet sitting is my full time job. I am available Monday-Friday and also weekends, for dog walking, pet sitting (including overnight at the owners home or in-home boarding), bathing, and I also can provide car service for taking your pet to the groomers, vet, etc.
