Pet care experience
I have been taking are of animals for over 10 years for my own family, as well as for neighborhood residents, co-workers, classmates, and complete strangers. I love dogs of all breeds, though Labradors, German Shepherds, Huskies, Yorkies and wolf mixes are among some of my favorites. I also love cats, birds and other animals. Each visit will be individually tailored to your pet's needs. Does your dog hide when a new person enters the home? I'm happy to bring treats and toys that will help encourage them to come out of hiding. Does your cat love lasers but hate lifeless toy mice? I'll run all over the place and enjoy giggling as I watch your cat pounce (without breaking or wrecking any furniture) to catch it. Do your dogs need to rotate their pet toys to keep them stimulated? Do you have a dog that would love to eat your bird, but want your bird to be able to fly around during the day? I'll spend some time with the dog, then make sure they don't have access to the part of the house that the bird stretches their wings in. My experience administering medication: Yes, and have done so for both a cat and dog.

My cat loves Laurie and he is very picky about who he likes. She makes sure to give him lots of pets as well as his meals. He's always lonely when I'm away so it helps to know that he is getting extra attention. My dog--who is now in doggie heaven--also loved her to take care of him. I think he loved that she gave him extra long walks, and I suspect there were dog biscuit treats involved. She has all my trust as a pet sitter.
She's very responsible, reliable, caring, loving. She was absolutely great with our dog: Bella. The best kind of pet care an owner can receive! Highly recommend Laurie!
Laurie has a soft and gentle way about her that animals respond to. My three chihuahuas absolutely loved her from they moment they met her. She took exceptional care of them while I was out of town and provided me with just the right amount of updates. I would highly recommend Laurie to anyone looking for a super responsible, experienced and loving pet sitter to take care of their babies!
Laurie did a great job with Theo. He is very high energy and she played fetch with him in the back yard until he got tired! He loved it. Laurie sent me pictures and videos throughout the day. Would definitely recommend.

Are they rescues? Are they shy? Outgoing? Have they ever had an owner that was abusive or mishandled them? If so it is always good to know so I can be mindful of your companion's emotional needs. Are they socialized, or do they need to avoid dog parks and other animals or busy areas? Also any required medications, and handling instructions are always helpful to know about. Sadly I was informed that my apartment management does not allow “aggressive breeds,” so I cannot dogsit for pitbulls at this time... I know, well socialized pitbulls are some of the sweetest dogs I’ve met. Will update this if I move.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks: When at your place, we can take the usual routes if your dog has a preference or we can go into new territory if that will be more stimulating and not too overwhelming, and there's always the option to do both familiar and unfamiliar. I also love going to parks near by and running around with your pets.
