Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own pets and neighbors’ pets since I was 10 years old. My childhood dogs were miniature pinschers but I have experience taking care of medium and large dogs as well. I love to be active and spend time with animals which makes me a great dog walker.

Laurie is great! Very conscientious... good communicator... highly recommend. She came over to take my puppy out during the day when I was traveling. Everything was done perfectly and I’ll definitely use her again!
Our dog, Bentley, LOVES Laurie! He gets so excited when he sees her and she showers him with attention. We used Laurie to watch Bentley while we were on vacation. We knew that she would treat Bentley like he was family. She is responsible, we trusted her to be in our home, and knew that she would give him great care. I highly recommend Laurie and we will definitely use her again.

Laurie is always my first choice to dog sit when we go out of town! She does great with our 3 dogs, even though they're a handful. One of our dogs, Buster, takes some time to warm up to someone and Laurie did an amazing job respecting his boundaries until he was ready. He absolutely loves her now!

I currently have a small Terrier mix named Sassy. She is recently rescued and very sweet. We are currently working on building her confidence and social skills. My friends are all dog lovers and like drop in for pets and playtime if both the dog and parent are comfortable with it.

Before sitting or walking a dog, I like to know details such as personality, energy level, and special needs like medications or food restrictions so that I can provide the best care possible. My favorite breed of dog is the Newfoundland but I have not met a dog or breed that I didn’t fall in love with.
A typical day
Fun activities can include walks at Grays Lake Park, trips for special treats like ice cream (with dog parent permission of course), and games of fetch or tug of war in the yard or at a local dog park.

I am currently between jobs which means that I have plenty of time and attention to dedicate to walking, playing, and caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I am available most days, evenings, and weekends.
